“Refait” is a remake of the football WorldCup match between France and Germany (Seville, Spain, 1982). Shot by Pied La Biche in Villeurbanne (France), every aspect of the fifteen last minutes of the match was carefully reconstructed : players, positions, gestures, intensity, drama etc. It consists in shifting the traditional game area into the urban environment. Each sequence takes place in one or several locations and then the city temporarily becomes the lab for unsual experiments.
Villarreal’s tiki-taka exhibition
15 passes in about 20 seconds? Barcelona may have mastered the art of tiki-taka, short one and two-touch passing (normally formed in shifting triangles created by three footballers), but Villarreal showed us this past weekend against Valencia that the likes of Borja Valero are on to you, Xavi. The best part of this clip has to be the reaction of the fans. This sequence didn’t lead to a goal in the end, but it was a stunning passage of play that received a well-earned standing ovation.

Die Teilung der Landschaft durch einen Fluß (samt dazugehöriger Brücke) ist eine typische topographische Grundfigur des Münsterlandes. Diese spezielle Situation liefert den Grundrahmen für die Skulptur “Bolzplatz”. Das Bild eines Fußballplatzes weist zahlreiche Analogien zur beschriebenen Landschaftsformation auf: Ein Fußballfeld markiert einen gemeinsamen Ort, der jedoch durch eine Mittellinie in zwei Hälften aufgeteilt ist. Ziel des Spiels ist das Erreichen des gegnerischen Tores (Ufers).
